Optimystics are a team of builders creating open-source software, organizing events, and developing prosocial games on Ethereum.
We are are the founders of a community called Optimism Fractal and the creators of the Respect Game, an onchain social game that creates profound benefits for all. We’re also the creators of Optimism Town Hall and Eden Fractal, which feature collaborative discussions about Ethereum, Optimism, and collective governance processes.

Optimism Fractal
A community dedicated to fostering collaboration, awarding public good creators, and optimizing governance on the Optimism Superchain.
Optimism Fractal events provide a perfect place to collaborate with builders, build your reputation, and earn Respect for growing Optimism. These events provide great opportunities to meet friends, learn about the Optimism Collective, and help create an equitable, prosocial internet. They can also help build your reputation, gain recognition for positive impact, and develop your onchain career, community, or business.

Eden Fractal
A community dedicated to optimizing collective decision-making through collaborative research, development, education, gamification, and community engagement.
Eden Fractal events provide an excellent space to network with leaders, learn about the future of collaboration, and earn Respect for implementing fractal decision-making processes throughout society. Since it’s inception in 2022, the Eden Fractal community has produced over one hundred events, fostered countless collaborations, and inspired dozens of fractal communities (including Optimism Fractal).

What are Fractal Communities?
These communities are fractal because participants gather into breakout rooms during each event, similar to how plants branch out in a fractal manner. Every participant gets the chance to share their thoughts, have their voice heard by others, and help direct epic community stories. Optimism Town Hall
A collaborative forum dedicated to conversations about Optimism, featuring innovative Community Agenda games where participants get to choose the topics.
Optimism Town Hall events provide a special place to learn about the latest developments on the Superchain, help lead the Collective, and explore opportunities in the onchain economy. The Cagendas game allows you to propose, vote, and choose topics with onchain reputation tokens, which provides a fun and fair way to participate in community discussions.

RetroPitches
Friendly competitions where public goods creators present their projects and participants rank their pitches. We’ve organized several pilot events featuring RetroPitches and plan to introduce an onchain version of this social game soon. Each of these events are recorded, produced into shows, and the videos are shared on social media. The videos provide many educational and entertaining resources and show notes are provided for each episode.
These unique videos provide interactive opportunities to follow the journey’s of talented visionaries, meet them by joining the weekly events, and share awesome experiences together while benefiting society.
Prosocial Games
Our work is based around a new kind of game called prosocial games, which could also be called onchain social games, consensus games, fractal games, or public goods games. These games bring communities together, optimize group decision-making, and coordinate collective action.
Our prosocial games function as social processes that enhance communication, connection, and culture. They are free to play, open-source, and onchain, which increases fairness and enables many profound benefits. While their rules are simple and elegant, these games offer boundless potential for sharing fun experiences and accomplishing shared goals.
Respect Game
Our flagship product that serves at the heartbeat of fractal communities. Participants gather into randomized small groups, share what they’ve done to help accomplish a collective goal, and collaborate to reach consensus on ranking each other’s contributions.
The Respect Game awards participants with a mystical soulbound token called Respect, which provides a foundation for enhanced decision-making and many other kinds of social processes. All group participants who reach consensus receive Respect and you earn Respect more by receiving a higher rank.
Players can accumulate Respect by helping the community over time and gain access to special powers, such as the ability to participate in a council. You can learn more about the Respect Game in this article and play at biweekly Optimism Fractal or Eden Fractal events.
Cagendas
A collaborative agenda setting game that empowers community members to propose, discuss, and vote on topics with reputation tokens. You can think of Cagendas as a game for community agendas, collaborative agendas, or consensus agendas.
Like the Respect Game, Cagendas enables communities to efficiently coordinate at any scale. It helps groups fairly allocate speaking time, focus on top priorities, get a better feel for the room, and express themselves creatively.
